Norman L. Leclerc

February 18, 1943 — June 29, 2012

Norman Leo Leclerc, 69, died peacefully at his Akers Pond camp surrounded by his loved ones on June 29th, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Berlin on February 18th, 1943 the youngest child of Louis and Imelda (Dupuis) Leclerc.

Norman was a lifelong resident of Berlin-Errol graduating from Guardian Angel and Notre Dame High School class of 1961.

As a young man Norman worked for the local IGA. In 2003 he retired from his life long career as a pipefitter for the local paper mill. November 1963, Norman enlisted in the New Hampshire National Guard-Battery A, 2nd Howitzer Battalion, 197th Artillery and he retired March 15th, 2001 with an honorable discharge as First Sergeant after serving 37 years.

He enjoyed being with Anita, working at his "camps" at Akers Pond, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, traveling, shopping, eating and of course, remodeling, building and perfecting projects. Norman will always be fondly remembered for his persistence on "perfection" when building or repairing home projects for his loved ones and at his camps!

Members of his family include his longtime companion Anita Robert of Berlin, daughter Kathie Leclerc and husband Russell of Gorham, son Dan Leclerc and wife Stephanie of Binghamton, NY, grandsons Tony, Blake, Riley and Payton; granddaughters Amber and Alysa; sister Estelle Playdon of Dunbarton, NH, brother Paul of Berlin, the mother of his children Jacqueline Fillion Gagne, cousins, nieces, nephews and aunt Alice Robitaille and of course his favorite four legged granddogs Lilly and Chewy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 6, 2012 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin, NH Fr. Kyle Stanton will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham, NH

Calling Hours will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday, July 5, and from 11:30am to 12:30pm Friday (prior to the Mass) at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home in Berlin, NH.
