Norbert Leopold Viau

Norbert Leopold Viau, 93, a longtime resident of Berlin, NH, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 8, 2014 surrounded by family at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.

Norbert was born on April 1, 1921 in Coaticook, QE Canada he was the son of Frank and Marie-Rose (Gosselin) Viau.

On June 22, 1945, he married the love of his life Aldea Cloutier. Together they raised two daughters. They moved their family to Berlin 1945. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage until she passed away in 2003.

He worked as a blacksmith forging tools at Brown Company Paper Mill. He was a perfectionist and took great pride in his trade. He retired after 35 years of service.

He was a communicant of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

Norbert enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family.

Besides his parents and wife, he is pre-deceased by two brothers Raymond and Fernard Viau and one sister Alice Benoit.

He leaves behind his two daughters Lise Levesque and husband Don of Merrimack, NH and Claire Doyle and husband Jack of Nashua, NH; Four grandchildren, Vincent and Michael Doyle, Michele and Brian Levesque and his fiancAC.e Megan Shirley; Three brothers Rolland and his wife Suzanne, Florent and wife Ursule and Conrad and wife Lucille Viau. He also leaves behind a dear friend Ida Roberge and several Nieces and Nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and on Friday from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014 at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish at 10:00am. Burial will follow at St Kieran's Cemetery, Berlin, NH
