Neil P. Cascadden

Neil Paul Cascadden, 67, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, after a period of declining health. Neil was born in Littleton, NH on August 13, 1952 the son of the late Byron and Rita (Rousseau) Cascadden. He was raised in Littleton and was a graduate of Littleton High School Class of 1971. He attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating with a Bachelors in Chemistry in 1975. After his graduation, he was a long term substitute school teacher at Winnacunnet High School in Hampton. In 1975, Neil joined the staff at Berlin Junior High School, transferring to Berlin High School soon thereafter where he taught chemistry until his retirement in 2010. Neil enjoyed spending time at his camp on Akers Pond in Errol, gardening, and traveling to Old Orchard Beach. He coached the Berlin High Mountaineers football team until it was discontinued in 1981. He was a passionate educator, impacting the lives of thousands of students throughout the years.



Members of the family include his wife Corinne Cascadden of Berlin; sons Joshua Cascadden and wife Alexis of Enfield and Zachary Cascadden and wife Chelsea of Berlin; grandchildren Cooper, Noella, Everly and Aubrey; brothers Creg Cascadden and wife Dianne of Derry, Marc Cascadden and wife Teresa of Amherst and Dean Cascadden and wife Crystal of Meredith; sister Sara Cascadden of Littleton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his cousin Mark Gardner, to whom Neil was very close.



A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 10am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.
