Mildred Farrington

Mrs. Mildred H. (Fox) Farrington, 84, formerly of 81 Lancaster Rd., Gorham, NH passed away on Tuesday morning March 27, 2007 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Calais, ME on March 8, 1923 the daughter of Percy and Irma (Porter) Fox and has resided in Berlin and Gorham since the early 1950s. Mildred was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School, and was involved in swimming activities and girl scouting for many years. She refereed girls basketball for many years for St. Patrick High School and Berlin High School. She had also been employed by WMOU. Members of the family include a son Richard Farrington and his wife Anita of Berlin, NH; 2 daughters Janet Godin and her husband Gus of Gorham, NH and Jill Levesque and her husband Rene of Milan, NH; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 31, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be held at a later date in the Calais Cemetery in Calais, ME. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the Coos County Nursing Home Activities Fund. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
