Maurice Joseph Moe Côté

Stark, NH

Maurice J. "Moe" Ct of Percy Road passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin following a period of declining health. He was 70.

Born on May 26, 1945, he was the son of Robert J. and Irene D. (Roy) Ct.

Moe attended St. Joseph School until the 4thgrade and was a graduate of St. Regis School and Notre Dame High School Class of 1963. He then attended St. Philip Neri Seminary in Boston.

On September 1, 1974, he married Julienne F. McGee.

In earlier years, he was employed at James River Paper Mill in Groveton. For many years, he owned and operated North Country Aquarium and Pet Store with locations in Berlin and Lancaster. In retirement, he worked for Tri County Caps Step One Program as residential staff.

He was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Berlin where he was a reader.

He also attended St. Marguerite dYouville Parish in Groveton.

Moes past times included vegetable and plant gardening, fish and animals, an avid bird watcher, doing genealogy and working out at the gym.

His greatest joy was spending time with family especially his grandchildren.

He leaves his loving wife of 41 years Julienne Ct of Stark, a son Michael Ct and wife Mandi of Gorham, a daughter Anne Dunn and husband John of Epsom, NH, grandchildren Monique Ct, Michael Ct, Jr., and William Dunn; a brother Richard Ct of Groveton, step-mother Jeannette Ct of Birch Grove, Gorham, an aunt Jeannette Turgeon of Berlin. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a close friend Robert Gendron of Gorham.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, November 17th at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Rev. Daniel DeVeau of St. Marguerites Church in Groveton will officiate.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm Monday, November 16th at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Funeral Matins, a sixth century service of St. John of Damascus, will be celebrated for Maurice at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
