Maurice G Gagne

Maurice G. Gagne, 71, of Clarendon Street passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home following a short illness.

Born on April 1, 1942 in Manchester, NH, he was the son of Gilbert J. and Rita (Belanger) Gagne.

He grew up between Manchester, Berlin, and Connecticut.

From 1964-1968, he served in the US Marine Corps and was stationed in the Philippines.

On December 13, 1975, he married Rita A. Boucher and they made their home in Gorham where they raised their family.

Retiring in 2000, he worked in the Beater Room at James River Corp/Crown Vantage Corp in Berlin.

He was a life member of the Marine Corp League, a past coach for Gorham Youth Hockey, and was a parishioner of Holy Family Church in Gorham.

He is predeceased by his father Gilbert J. Gagne and his maternal mother who passed away when he was one year old Rita (Belanger) Gagne and his loving wife of 27 years Rita A. (Boucher) Gagne passed away June 17, 2003.

He is survived by two sons: Eric J. Gagne and his girlfriend Julie and Paul A. Gagne and his wife Andrea; two grandchildren: Katie & Austin Gagne all of Gorham, NH; his step-mother Lucille (Fredette) Gagne of New Fairfield, CT; three brothers: Robert J. Gagne of Berlin, NH, Donald Gagne of Wallingford, CT, and Paul L. Gagne of Errol, NH; a sister Denise Kurpewski of New Fairfield, CT; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Monday, April 15, 2013 at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday, April 14 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange St, Gorham, NH. Memorial donations may be made to the Conway Area Humane Society, 223 East Main Street, Conway, NH 03818.
