Maurice A Gagnon

Berlin - Maurice A. Gagnon, formerly of Third Avenue passed away Monday, September 27, 2010, at Coos County Nursing Home, following a period of declining health. He was 97. He was born in Berlin on October 27, 1912, the son of Louis Gagnon and Corrine (Picard) Gagnon. He attended Berlin Schools and was lifelong resident of the area. On June 10, 1935, he married Rose de Marie Baulay and the two raised four sons. He worked as a chef at many area restaurants from the top of Mt. Washington and the last restaurant being the Sheraton on Main Street in Berlin and many in between. He was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph Church now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. He is survived by 4 sons: Jerry Gagnon and his wife Jackie of Berlin, Andy Gagnon and his wife Priscille of New Ipswich, NH, Marc Gagnon and his wife Janine of Berlin and Carl Gagnon and his wife Jody of Sanford, ME Grandchildren: Denise, Lise, Michelle, Anne-Marie, Sarah, Joshua, Kirk, Jan Great-Grandchildren: Brandon, Tyler, Katelyn, Araceli, Jack, and Keegan. Two sisters: Henriette Beaudoin and Juliette Plourde both of Berlin. Many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by brothers and sisters: Edgar Gagnon, Germaine Croteau, Florence Guitard, Gerard Gagnon, Roger Gagnon, Sister Marie Jeanne Gagnon, Sister Cecile Gagnon, and Henry Gagnon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm, Thursday, September 30, at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin. The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, Sept 30 from 11:30-12:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin (Use School St entrance). Online guestbook at www.fleury-patry.com.
