Maureen K. (Martel) Lasher

Maureen Karen (Martel) Lasher, 65, of Big Spring, TX died on Thursday May 1, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Berlin, NH on May 11 1942 to Theo Evelyn and Ralph Edward Martel. She grew up in Gorham, NH and had been a resident of Big Spring for the past 10 years, moving from Houston. Maureen was employed by Malone and Hogan Clinic, Family Medical Center, and was a receptionist for the surgery department of the clinic. She was active in the Relay for Life and the American Heart Association. Maureen is survived by one son Michael Lasher and his wife Linda Wilhelm of Anchorage, Alaska; three grandchildren Brittany Walsh of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Breanna Lasher of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Shawn Wilhelm of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A Celebration of Life Service was held at the Myers and Smith Funeral Home, Big Spring, TX on May 5, 2008. Interment was in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham, NH.
