Mary Elizabeth (Lafferty) Cavallini, 90, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia, NH following a period of declining health. She had been in Laconia for the past 15 years.

Born on March 7, 1923 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lillian (Goulet) Lafferty.

Mary was a 1941 graduate of Berlin High School.

She was employed at the Town and Country as a house keeper for 17 years and later she worked at Rich's Department Store.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish where she taught catechism, Berlin Senior Citizens as well as an RSVP volunteer.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her greatest love was her family, she was a very loving, caring and devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother..

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George on April 21, 1981, a daughter Sharon Belanger in 1993 and four brothers Alfred, Arthur, James, & Richard Lafferty. She is survived by a son, Louis Cavallini of Houston, TX, two daughters, Lillian Laroche and her husband Rene of Sebastian, FL & Shirley Erikson of Chesterville, ME, a brother Donald Lafferty of The Villages, FL. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am July 10, 2013 at Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH.

Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham
