Mary C. (Ray) Levasseur

Mrs. Mary C. Levasseur, 82, of Birch Grove, Gorham, NH passed away on Monday August 9, 2010 at the St. Vincent de Paul Health & Rehabilitation Center in Berlin, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on March 13, 1928 the daughter of Patrick and Alvina (Morin) Ray and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. Members of the family include two daughters Susan Labrecque and her husband Rene of Littleton, NC and Ellen Holt and her husband David of Gorham, NH; her daughter in law Christina Levasseur of Berlin, NH; four grandchildren Kelley Ruel of Gorham, NH, David M. Holt of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Randal Labrecque of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Karla Meadows of Dinwiddie, VA; six great grandchildren; three sisters Nora Guay of Jackson, NH, Betsy Bertrand of Lewiston, ME and Louise Slote of Biloxi, Mississippi; a brother Patrick Ray of Burlington, VT; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Roger Levasseur in 1965, a son Robert Levasseur, two brothers Norman Ray and William Ray and by a sister Madeline Slote. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Aug. 12, 2010 at 11 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, NH. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 PM.
