Marcia A. Hanson,83, of Dummer, NH passed away Tuesday May 10, 2016 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She was born on December 13, 1932, the daughter of Roy and Edith (Kinne) Burrows and grew up in Lowell, MA. She had been employed by the General Electric company in her younger years. After marrying her husband Leonard they moved to Westford, MA and raised three sons.Throughout this time Marcia and her family enjoyed camping and the beauty of the White Mountains. Shortly after retirement they moved to Dummer, NH to restore and live in a wonderful farm house on Hill Road. Marcia was a member of First Baptist Church in Berlin, was the treasurer of her church for many years, enjoyed traveling, camping, baking and especially taking great care of all her family and loved ones. She was known for her famous cinnamon "rolls". Marcia also loved to paint and enjoyed many trips to Mohegan Island to paint. She was very proud of having some of her work displayed at the Berlin, Hospital and had sold numerous pieces of her work. Family includes her sons Rick B. Hanson and wife Lana of Spring Hill, TN, Ron Hanson and wife Kristen of Scarborough, ME and Robert Hanson of Dummer, NH; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Bonnie Johnson of Lowell, MA and Nona Georges of Dunstable, MA; brother Robert Burrows of Everett, MA; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Hanson on March 14, 2009. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 9 AM at the First Baptist Church, 79 High St. in Berlin. Interment will be in the Gibson Cemetery in Pelham at 2 PM. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave. in Berlin on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
