Madeleine R. (Gingras) Adams, 84, of Springvale, ME, formerly of Berlin, NH, passed away at her home on Friday June 26, 2015 with her family by her side. Mrs. Adams was born in Berlin on June 9, 1931 a daughter of Adalbert and Alice (Rousseau) Gingras and resided in Berlin for 82 years until moving to Maine in 2013. She worked for Woolworth, Brown Company and in the Food Service Department at the NH Vocational Technical College in Berlin. Madeleine was active in the Senior Center and the Holiday Center and was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Madeleine was an avid quilter, card player and loved doing jigsaw puzzles. Family members include her husband Gordon Adams of Springvale, ME, a son Thomas Adams and daughter-in-law Patricia of Springvale, ME; a daughter Pamela Adams and spouse Andrew Najberg of Weare, NH; 3 grandchildren, Karen Adams, Joshua Adams and his wife Danielle, and Daniel Adams; 6 great grandchildren, Annalee Adams, Misty Rose Adams, Samuel Adams, Abraham Adams, Aaron Adams and Jamie Adams; a brother Antonio Gingras of Pennsylvania, a sister Angeline Sweet of Nashua, NH, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Doris Gingras and her parents Adalbert and Alice Gingras. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 25, at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Interment will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning prior to the service from 8 to 9:30 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice of Southern Maine, 180 US Route 1, Ste 1, Scarborough, Me, 04074-9925.
