Lucille Gauvin Young

Lucille Gauvin Young, 75, of Berlin, passed away on Friday October 14, 2016, at Country Village Healthcare Center in Lancaster. Mrs. Young was born in Berlin on October 25, 1940, the daughter of the late Alfred and Flora (Roy) Gauvin. She was a lifelong resident of the area and worked for many years as a secretary for the Brown Company. Lucille enjoyed time spent with her family and friends, going out to eat, taking walks and shopping. She was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Family members include her nieces; Carole Jackson and husband Norm of Dummer, Victoria Laflamme and husband Mike of Dummer and Robin Hale and wife Kristin of Washington State; great niece, Jamie Nelson and husband Sam; great nephews, Devin Buckley and Jack Wood-Hale; 5 great-great nieces and nephews; stepchildren Doug Young and wife Lori of Milan and Barbara Dumont and husband Mark of Berlin; her special cousin Helen Roy of Berlin; many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harris Young, a brother and sister in-law Rene and Rena Gauvin and a great nephew Daniel Jolin. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday afternoon October 21, 2016 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
