Lois Eaton Leavitt

Lois Eaton Leavitt of Gorham, NH passed away peacefully at her home in Gorham on September 19, 2006. Lois was born on May 24, 1927 in Berlin and resided all her life in the Berlin-Gorham area. Lois graduated from Berlin High School in 1945. Upon her graduation, Lois attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine. When Lois returned to Berlin, she worked for Brown Company in the Resource Library Department. Lois later worked as a substitute teacher of SAU # 20 where she worked until her retirement. Lois lovingly devoted her life to her husband Reuell (Bud) Leavitt and their children. Lois will be sadly missed by her husband of 54 years, Bud, her sons Richard Leavitt and daughter-in-law Brenda (Addario) and their children Miranda, Alicia and Derek and Mark Leavitt and daughter-in-law Janet (Nadeau) and their son Ryan. Lois was predeceased by her son John Alexander Leavitt, her parents Henry and Francis Eaton of Berlin and her brother Richard Eaton. A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Lary Cemetery in Gorham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Lois Leavitt to Crotched Mountain Foundation, 1 Verney Drive, Greenfield, NH, 03047, www.crotchedmountain.org.
