Mr. Lionel (Lee) J. Coulombe, 75, of 1770 Riverside Drive, Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday August 13, 2009 at his home after a valiantly fought battle with cancer. He was born in Berlin, NH on July 7, 1934 the son of the late Ralph and Veronica (Martel) Coulombe and lived most of his life in Berlin. He was a graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel, ME and upon graduation had served in the US Air Force. He was a realtor and had owned and operated Coulombe Real Estate for 30 + years. Lee was an avid pilot, flying small planes and Ultra Lites, was a Correspondent and photographer for AP & UPI and the Manchester Union Leader. He was a Berlin Civil Defense Director, Owner of Lees Studio & Camera Shop, Owner and President of the White Mountain Bank & Trust, part owner of Joe Jones, a member of the Lions Club and had started the Jaycees in Berlin. Members of the family include his wife Dawn (Stevens) Coulombe of Berlin, NH; his children David Coulombe of Berlin, NH; Sherrie Ryan of Berlin, NH, Cindy Carpenter of Florida, Bruce Coulombe of Florida, Debbie Coulombe of Florida and Matthew Thomas of Exeter, NH; several grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 1 brother Raymond Coulombe of Los Angeles, CA; and nieces. He was predeceased by his brothers Maurice Coulombe and Ronald Coulombe. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning Aug. 19, 2009 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday Aug. 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
