Lionel Croteau, of Berlin and formerly of Hillsboro Street passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. Vincent dePaul Nursing Home in Berlin following a period of declining health. He was 70 years old.

Born on October 29, 1942 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of George and Alexina (Lapointe) Croteau. Lionel was a lifelong resident of Berlin.

He was a member of the former Guardian Angel Parish now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish

His pastimes included Bowling, playing bingo, music, magazines, and unwrapping gifts.

He is pre-deceased by his parents George and Alexina Croteau of Berlin and a brother Marcel Croteau.

He leaves four brothers, Julien Croteau and his wife Lucille of Berlin, NH, Emile Croteau and his wife Rita of Berlin, and Maurice Croteau and his wife Rita of Berlin; three sisters, Aurore Jutras of Clearwater, FL, Robertine Blais and her husband Emile of Winsor Locks, CT and Marguerite Frenette and her husband Roger of Berlin. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Rev. Marc Gagne will officiate. A Lazerous Meal will be held at St. Anne's Hall following the Mass. Burial will be at St. Kieran Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass from 8:00 to 9:30 am on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.

Memorial donations may be made to the Activity Fund, c/o St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home, 29 Providence Avenue, Berlin, NH.
