Lionel A. Dion

Lionel A. Dion, 67, of Berlin, passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at his home. He was born in Berlin on March 9, 1949 the son of the late Oscar J. and Leonie (Laflamme) Dion and was raised and educated in Berlin. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1967, where he played football and was on the Championship Team in 1967. He also made the All State Championship Team and playing in the Shrine Football Game. Lionel had worked in construction for many years in Salt Lake City, UT. Lionel was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, was an avid fisherman, loved hunting and enjoyed playing Texas Holdem Poker. Family includes his sisters Barbara Dion of Berlin and Alice Levy and husband Milford of Auburndale, FL; a nephew Jonathan Levy; a niece Samantha Levy; stepchildren Tracy and Tricia; several cousins and many good friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Tuesday morning from 10:30 to 12:30, prior to the Mass. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
