Leopold Bourassa, 84, of Berlin, NH passed away on Friday evening September 5, 2008 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. He was born in St. Hermenegilde, P.Q. Canada on April 14, 1924 the son of Alfred and Amanda (Fortin) Bourassa. Leopold was one of 13 children. He was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Fur, Feather & Fin Club in Gorham, NH. His favorite past time was spending his summers at Camp in Errol, NH with his family and fishing Braggs Bay. He had worked in a logging camp for several years, then for the local paper mill, at the Brown Co., James River Corporation and retiring from Crown Vantage Corporation after 41 years of service. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. He leaves his wife Olive of 55 years of marriage; a daughter Helene Arseneau and her husband Marcel of Milan, NH; a son Ronald Bourassa and his wife Nancy of Errol, NH; a grandson Cpl. Aaron Bourassa, who is stationed at the Wounded Warriors Barrack at Camp Lejeune, NC; a granddaughter Jessica Bourassa of Berlin, NH ; one brother Rosairio Bourassa of Berlin, NH; two sisters Mariange Bernier of Berlin, NH and Rose-Aline Kelly and her husband George, of Berlin, NH; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and 6 brothers Josepha, Odias, Arthur, Philibert, Fredi and Oliva Bourassa and by 3 sisters Rosalba Fortin, Rebecca Duchesnaye and Adela LeBlanc. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Errol Village Cemetery, Errol, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the A.V.H. Home Health and Hospice Services, 59 Page Hill Rd., Berlin, NH 03570. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin, NH.
