Leonard Albert Leo Dumoulin

April 13, 1926 — June 14, 2016

Leonard "Leo" Albert Dumoulin of Hinchey Street, Berlin, NH Passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 after a period of declining health. He was 90 years old.

He was born on April 13, 1926 in Canada. His parents, Leon and Lillian (Pelchat) Dumoulin, moved to Berlin when he was a young child. He later became a U.S. Citizen. On September 29, 1951 he married Denise Deblois and together they raised three daughters.

Leo worked full time as a Mill Laborer in the local Paper Mills most of his adult life. He endured working three shifts, weekends and holiday until his retirement in 1989. At the same time, he also worked part-time at Berlin Springs on Third Avenue for Mr. George Plante. While working at the Spring Shop he built and repaired wooden "bodies" of Log Trucks. For fun, he proudly built smaller versions of the work he did. He got great pleasure working on wooden crafts, which he generously gave to family and friends. Despite juggling two jobs he managed to maintain a great family life as well. He took great care of his family using some of his self-taught skill such as Plumbing, Electrical and Carpentry; he was always willing to lend a help hand to anyone who needed it. He was also the proud owner of a brand new 1985 Buick car. Family members, friends and local businesses will cherish the many fond memories they have of Leo, he will be best remembered for being a "Social Butterfly". He was truly a dedicated husband, father and brother.

He was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph parish and continued his faith with the Good Shepherd Parish as they combined to share St. Anne Church.

Besides his parents he is pre-deceased by his brothers Rene, Gerard, Robert and Arthur, two sisters Lauretta Gagne and Bertha Blais; a brother-in-law Paul Deblois and a sister-in-law Elise Anna Labonville.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years Denise Dumoulin of Berlin, NH; three daughters Lisa Peters and her husband Bob, Rachel Beaudoin and her husband Ivan and Pauline St. Amant and her husband Dan all of Berlin, NH; Six grandchildren Karen Peters, Gary Peters and wife Sara all of Berlin, NH, Michael Beaudoin of Manchester, NH, Melissa Beaudoin and long-time boyfriend Matthew Letendre of Berlin, NH, Paul St. Amant and girlfriend Courtney Treon of Greenwood Maine, Jennifer St. Amant and boyfriend Emmit Langlois of Berlin, NH; three great-grandchildren Emma Peters, Ethan Peters and MaKenna Letendre; a brother Roland Dumoulin and wife Mary; a sister Rita Blair and her husband Victor and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
