Leo Joseph Bergeron

Leo Joseph Bergeron of Berlin passed away Sunday afternoon (December 9, 2012) at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin following a period of declining health. He was 83 years old.

Born on September 18, 1929 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Josephat and Adelaide (Fortin) Bergeron. Leo grew up in East Hereford, Compton, Quebec.

On October 20, 1951, he married Annette Tremblay. She passed away February 11, 1986.

Leo retired from James River Corp where he worked as a mechanic in the Woodlands department for many years. Until the present, he also owned and operated Leo's Small Engine Repair.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as a deputy Fire Warden. He enjoyed snowmachining and 4 wheelers. He was a founding member of the White Mountain Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, and the Millsfield ATV Club, and Millsfield Campers Association. Over the years, he helped the club by creating trails and performing maintenance of the trails. He enjoyed fishing and gambling. Lately, he enjoyed trips to Oxford Casino.

Besides his wife Annette, he is pre-deceased by six brothers and sisters.

He leaves five sons and three daughters: Richard Bergeron of Pahrump, NV, Rene Bergeron and his wife Cheryl of Concord, NH, Ronald Bergeron of Berlin, Robert Bergeron and his significant other Dawn Keddy of Berlin, and Roland Bergeron of Berlin: Helene Josselyn and her husband Keith of Jefferson, NH, Lucy Dorney and her husband Stephen of Nashua, NH, and Rachel Leveille of Berlin.

25 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Saturday, December 15 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm and 7-9pm Friday, December 14 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
