Leo Cyr

Leo Cyr, 87, of Berlin, passed away on Friday June 26, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Berlin on June 6, 1928 the son of Alcide and Marie Louise (Croteau) Cyr and was a lifelong resident. He served with the US Army during the Korean War and had been employed as a machinist for Cross Machine from 1945-1950 and then at the paper mill, retiring from Crown Vantage in 1987. Leo was a member of Holy Family Church, a Life Member of the VFW Post #2520 and a Life Member of the F.O.E. in Berlin. Family includes his wife Lillian (Montminy) Cyr of Berlin; daughters Louise Cote and husband Louis of Berlin and Helen Poirier and husband Jean of Berlin; grandchildren Lonny, Jeffrey, Kristy, Corey and Carrie; great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; sisters Emelda Morin of Berlin and Theresa Deveau of Walpole, MA; nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Tuesday June 30, 2015 at 1 PM. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the Mother Marie Rivier Food Pantry or Good Shepherd Parish. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
