Leo Buteau

Berlin, NH



Leo Buteau peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family at his sons home in Gorham, NH. He was 67 years old.



Leo was born in Berlin, NH on February 15, 1951 a son of the late Gerard and Lillian (Lafeuille) Buteau. He was a graduate of Berlin High School. He worked as a paper mill colorist at Fraser Paper in Gorham, NH, retiring in 2009.



On December 7, 2007 he married his wife, Fran. Leo was happiest when spending time with his family. He also showed love and admiration for his siblings. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.



Leo and Fran spent their winters in Bayonet Point, Florida for the last two years. Leo enjoyed his daily walks, going brook fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He will always be remembered for the kindness that he radiated towards all.



Throughout the many years of health issues, his doctors were always amazed by his strong will and character. Leo had a true endurance and displayed his courage in a very humble way. HE NEVER QUIT!



Besides his parents Leo is predeceased by two brothers, George Buteau and Robert Buteau; two sisters, Annette Bisson and Louise Provencher.



Leo leaves behind his wife Fran Buteau; two sons, Daniel Buteau and wife Beth of Gorham, NH, Gerard Buteau and wife Christina of Durham, NH; two step sons, Nathan Therrien of Gorham, NH, Michael Therrien of Manchester, NH; two brothers, Emile Buteau and wife Lillian of Berlin, NH, Richard Buteau and wife Erica of Berlin, NH; two sisters Diane Laflamme and husband David of Berlin, NH, Lucille Buteau of Bath, NH; Eight grandchildren, Jacob Buteau and wife Shannon, Michaela Buteau, Abigail Buteau, Olivia Buteau, Brandon Buteau, Benjamin Buteau, Noah Buteau and Jonathan Buteau; and two great-grandchildren, Willa and Rowan Buteau.



There will be no calling hours.



A Memorial Mass will held at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:00 am.
