Leo A. Boisselle

Leo A. "Joe" Boisselle, of Berlin, died unexpectedly at home on December 22, 2016. He was born May 20, 1936, the son of Didier and Rena Boisselle and was a lifelong resident of Berlin.

He was a 1954 graduate of Notre Dame High School and worked at the Berlin/Cascade Paper Mills until his retirement.

He was a communicant of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and a longtime member of the Eagles Club, Androscoggin Valley Fish and Game and the Millsfield Sportsman Club.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was famous for his hunting "secret spot", his "Silver Fox Pond" trophy fish and his favorite phrase, "yahoo!" He was an exceptionally devoted grandfather to his 3 grandsons.

He was married 59 years to his high school sweetheart, Doris (Bugeau) Boisselle and together they had 4 children. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Denise Day and husband Timothy of Durham, NH, his daughter Diane Gilbert and husband Michael of Berlin, his son Paul Boisselle of Dover, NH, his brother Warren Boisselle of VA, his sister Pauline Langlois of FL, and his grandchildren Scott Gilbert and wife Diana, Jay Gilbert and Daniel Day.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Jeannette Peabody and brother Father Aime Boisselle. He was also predeceased by his beloved 11 year old daughter Ann in 1981.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 5:00pm til 8:00pm and from 11:30am til 12:30pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 1:00pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
