Laura V Glinka

November 28, 1919 — February 10, 2015

Laura Glinka, 95, formally of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, NH. She had been a resident at Coos Country Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown for almost 18 years.

Born in Berlin NH on November 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Phillip and Rose (Nadeau) Bergeron, both of Berlin.

Laura attended the Guardian Angel Parochial School in Berlin and is a graduate of Berlin High School.

She married Roman Glinka and they lived in Berlin.

Prior to her marriage, she worked as a waitress at local restaurants. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of the Guardian Angel Church now knows as Good Shepherd Parish. She also volunteered at Guardian Angel. She was a member of the Living Rosary of the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace in Colebrook.

Laura is survived by three sisters, Lea Price and her husband John of Merrimack, Theresa Saucier of Berlin, Isabelle and her husband George Arsenault of Berlin, and by two sisters-in-law, Therese Bergeron of Berlin, Irene Bergeron of St. Augustine, Florida, and by many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Roman Glinka, and by three brothers, Raymond and Oscar Bergeron of Berlin, Roland Bergeron of St. Augustine Florida, and by her parents, Phillip and Rose Bergeron of Berlin.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, February 13th from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following calling hours on Friday, February 13th at 1:00pm at St. Anne's Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham, NH.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown NH, where Laura was a resident for many years and where she received excellent care during her time there.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Good Shepherd Parish, PO Box 570, Berlin NH.
