Larry Lavoie Pappie Lawrence

Berlin, Lawrence also known as Larry- "Pappie" Lavoie, age 75, of Western Avenue went home to be with his loving savior on Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was born on October 19, 1936 in Berlin, NH, to Louis and Pauline (Guerin) Lavoie. Larry was a graduate of Berlin High School and attended Seminary College. On October 11, 1962, he married Florence (Varney) and together they raised 6 children. He worked many jobs including Converse Rubber Company, paper delivering, Yield House, Big Apple, 7-11 and Papa Gino's. Affectionately known as "Pappie" to family and friends, he loved God and family, feeding people (especially donuts and fried dough) for Harvest Outreach), Praying Hands, fishing, family BBQs and playing cards. He was a proud member of Harvest Christian Fellowship. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Pauline Lavoie and a daughter Debra Tibbetts. "Pappie" leaves his loving wife Florence (Varney) Lavoie , three sons Leonard Lavoie of Berlin, Mark Lavoie and his wife Shan of Claremont, NH, and Matthew Lavoie of Berlin; two daughters Michelle Bengtson and her husband Rodney of Berlin and Theresa Tyler and her companion Mike Winslow of Berlin; a son in law James Tibbitts Jr. of Berlin; 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great- Granddaughter; two brothers Richard Lavoie and wife Aurora of Berlin and Theodore (Ted) Lavoie and wife Ann of Meredith, NH; and a sister Barbara Couture of Berlin; one aunt Theresa Guerin of Berlin; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great-nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 am Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 219 Willow St. in Berlin. Pastor Shane Riff will officiate. A gathering will follow in the church fellowship hall. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to Harvest Christian Fellowship, 219 Willow St., Berlin, NH 03570.
