Kenneth Perkins

Kenneth N. "Kenny" Perkins of Second Avenue passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital following a brief battle with cancer. He was 52.

Born on March 29, 1962 in Fort Campbell, KY, he was the son of Norman K. and Luigina (Faini) Perkins.

Kenny grew up in Gorham and was a 1980 graduate of Gorham High School.

He served in the US Navy from 1984-1990 with the Seabees.

For many years, he owned and operated Last Chance Video in Gorham.

In May 2014, he graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Plymouth State University with a degree in Elementary Education. He then taught at various schools in the area.

Kenny loved music and was an avid reader. He will be remembered as being very eclectic.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a brother in law Paul Belanger.

He leaves his loving family: a sister Gina Belanger of Gorham, two brothers Frank Perkins and wife Lisa of Nottingham, NH and Patrick Perkins and girlfriend Erin O'Neil of Gorham; Maternal Aunt Christina Faini of McClellandtown, PA, Maternal Great-Great Aunt Mary Lucia of Uniontown, PA, Paternal Aunt Patricia Woodward of Groveton, NH; Nieces and nephews: Christen Belanger, Beth Alwyn, Katie Belanger, Tracey Fortin, Tricia Johnson, Michael Perkins, Erica Perkins, and Elizabeth LaBonte; many great-nieces, a great nephew; a great-great nephew, and many cousins. In addition to his family he had many friends that he considered family.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Monday, March 23 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. A prayer service will be held at 7:30pm.
