Karlalea Cody

Karlalea Cody, 74, longtime resident of Indianapolis, IN and most recently of Berlin, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021. She was born in Logansport, IN on July 25, 1946 the daughter of Robert and Betty (Smitley) Cody and lived in Indiana most of her life. She moved to Berlin in July of 2020 to be near her daughter and family. She graduated from Purdue University with her B. A. and from Indiana University with her MSW. Karlalea was a social worker for over 30 years and volunteered locally in her downtown Indianapolis neighborhood.



Family includes her husband Stephen Wagman of Indianapolis, IN; her daughter Brianne Teaboldt and husband Jack Warner of Berlin, NH; grandson Rowan; brothers Clyde Cody of Idaho and Brian Cody of Texas; stepchildren Becca, Heather and Marc Wagman of Indiana.



An online memorial will be held for family and friends later this month. In lieu of flowers, donations in Karlalea’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis (see information below).
