Karen Cloutier, 73, of Cedar Pond Dr, died peacefully on Friday, September 21, 2012, at her home with her family and her dog by her side. Mrs. Cloutier was born in Gorham, NH on October 25, 1938, a daughter of Lawrence and Evelyn (Miller) Murphy. Karen was raised in Gorham and was a 1956 graduate of St. Patricks High School in Berlin. She was a homemaker and for 9 years she was a bartender at the Snowshoe Club retiring in 1998. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzle books and especially time spent at camp with her family. She was a member of Club de Racqueteours Joliette and served as secretary for the past 22 years. Family members include her mother Evelyn Murphy of Lancaster, her children Kenneth Cloutier of Berlin, Curtis Cloutier of Berlin, Colleen Leveille of Berlin, Pam Phaneuf of Claremont, Holly Paquette and her husband Steve of Berlin and Stephanie Boutin of Bradley, ME, her sister Marilyn McKay of Rochester, sister in-law Louise Boutin of Berlin, brother in-law Paul Boutin of Big Torch Key, FL, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, one aunt, many cousins and her dog Buffy. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph D. Cloutier, a son Scott D. Cloutier, her father Lawrence Murphy, a sister Colleen J. Murphy and her fianc Roland R. Boutin. Calling hours will be held Tuesday September 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma, OK 73123-1718.
