Juliette (Nadeau) Lepage

December 31, 1922 — April 25, 2018

Juliette Lepage, 95, died on April 25, 2018 at the Coos County Nursing Home where she had been a resident for several years.



She was born Juliette Jeanne dArc Nadeau on the last day of 1922 in St. Ephraim de Beauce, PQ. She emigrated to the U.S. with her parents when she was five. They settled in Berlin, where she was to live the rest of her life. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1940 and went on to earn her degree as a Registered Nurse from the New Hampshire State Hospital School of Nursing. Nursing was her life, and she was to the profession born. Her compassion and innate altruism was witnessed by many patients through the years, first as a staff nurse at the Brown Company, then at St. Louis Hospital, and finally at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, from which she retired in 1984. She was a person of truth and faith and was a lifelong member of St. Annes Church of Good Shepherd Parish.



She was predeceased by her husband Lafayette, whom she loved and nursed bravely and without complaint through his long struggle with ALS, to which he succumbed in 1983. Younger brother Antonioher lifelong confidant and championdied in 2017.



She is survived by a son Richard Lepage and his wife Tammy of Amarillo, TX, a son Gordon Lepage and his wife Carole of New Sharon, ME, grandson Alex LePage and his fiance Lauren of Austin TX, and grandson Noah LePage of Brooklyn, NY.



A graveside memorial service is planned for later this summer.



Juliette will be remembered and greatly missed as a woman whose modest calm and appearance belied an immense inner strength and perseverance, and whose careful words flowed from a well of infinite kindness.
