Julien "Jules" Croteau, of Berlin and Clearwater, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Clearwater, FL. of an unexpected illness. He was 80 years old.

Jules was born on August 1, 1932 in Berlin, NH. He was the son of George and Alexina (Lapointe) Croteau. He was a lifelong resident of the Gorham and Berlin area and wintered in Clearwater, Fl. for the last 20 years.

He was a member of the Holy Family Church in Gorham.

He took pride in being the Fire Chief of Gorham for many years. He was the owner and operator of Perkins Oil Company, Gorham. He then worked for Johnson's Oil in Berlin and Kevin Rines of KR Heating in Gorham.

His past times included golfing, fishing, playing cards, visiting casinos and participating in the Poker Run for special causes. He really enjoyed going to "camp" with his brothers, other family members and close friends.

His parents George and Alexina Croteau, brothers Marcel and Lionel Croteau predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Delores Croteau, mother of their two children.

He leaves behind his current wife Lucille Corriveau, a son Gary Croteau and his fiancAC. Denise Morgan-Allain of Berlin, a daughter Kathy Cote and her husband Brian of Elizabeth City, NC, two stepchildren, Sylvie Montello of Portland, ME and Michel Corriveau and his wife Donna of Deerfield, NH, two brothers, Emile Croteau and his wife Rita of Berlin, and Maurice Croteau and his wife Rita of Berlin; three sisters, Aurore Jutras of Clearwater, FL, Robertine Blais and her husband Emile "Pop" of Winsor Locks, CT and Marguerite Frenette and her husband Roger of Berlin. He also leaves his grandchildren Carl Cote and fiancAC. Kelly Nichols of Fryeburg, ME, Brett Cote of Elizabeth City, NC, David Cote of Ludlow, MA, Derek Croteau and wife Ashley, Dan Croteau and wife Shauna all of Berlin, great-Grandchildren Landyn Croteau and Nora Croteau both of Berlin.

Jules' greatest joy was his grandchildren and family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange Street, Gorham NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at10:00am at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery, Gorham, NH
