Joseph R. "Roger" Croteau, 73, of Berlin passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Coos County Nursing Home.

Born on July 6, 1939 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Leo and Beatrice (Gallant) Croteau.

Joe was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Berlin and a 1959 graduate of Concord Business School.

On October 30, 1965 he married Lorraine Roy and together they raised a son and two daughters.

He worked for The Brown Company and later James River Corporation as a Bookkeeper/ Purchasing Agent as well as owning and operating Croteau and Son Bicycle Shop.

He was a communicant of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

Joe traveled with Lorraine around the United States and they also visited Europe. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and an excellent cook. In earlier years, he was a member of St. Anne's Church Men's Bowling League.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother: Norman Croteau in 1944.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Lorraine L. Croteau of Berlin; daughter Lucie Wyatt and her three children Valerie, Joel, and Noah all of Berlin; a son Daniel Croteau of Berlin, and daughter Diane Langlois and her husband Michael and their sons Benjamin and Ryan all of Keene NH; three brothers Silvio Croteau of Florida, Rodrique Croteau of Keene, NH and Lucien Croteau of Berlin, three sisters, SR. Roberta Croteau of Manchester, NH, Grace Chauvin of Manchester, NH and Marcelle Aubin of Lebanon, Me.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday August 9, 2012 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Rev. Mark Dollard will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH., using the School Street entrance.
