Mr. Joseph P. Daley, 80, of 427 Muzzy Hill Rd., Milan, NH passed away on Thursday morning March 10, 2005 at his home. He was born in St. Sylvester, P.Q., Canada on Sept. 2, 1924 the son of Paul F. and Sarah (Mullen) Daley and lived most of his life in Berlin-Milan area. He worked many years in the Hotel Business as a chef, during the winter months in Florida and the summer months in the North. Joe also worked many years for the US Postal Service in Berlin, NH, retiring in 1973. He was a US Navy veteran of WW2, having served in the South Pacific. Joe was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a life member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, a life member of the D.A.V. Mt. Washington Chapter #8, a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a member of the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion in Gorham, a member of the AARP, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter #1776, and the Androscoggin Valley Fish & Game Association. Members of the family include a son Michael Daley of Sheridan, Wyoming; two grandchildren Dana McGregor and Chuck Deuel; three great grandchildren; a stepson Gary Bisson and his wife Debbie of Errol, NH; step grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter Estella Deuel and by 3 brothers John Daley, Arthur Daley and Ray Daley, and by 3 sisters Kathleen Gantnier, Theresa Pickford and Irene Delorge. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Saturday morning March 12, 2005 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
