John D. Morris, 63, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. John was born in Berlin and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Berlin High School, class of 1973, and of WSBE at UNH. He was Controller and Director of Accounting at Androscoggin Valley Hospital until illness forced his retirement. John was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. He served on many boards, including being secretary and treasurer of Androscoggin Valley Country Club. More than anything, he enjoyed being Papa to his granddaughters, and taking them to their various activities. John is survived by his wife Linda Morris of Berlin, NH; son John Morris and his wife Christine of Barrington, NH; daughter Beth Williams and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH; granddaughters Emily, Grace, Courtney, and KK; brother James Morris and his wife Debbie of Concord, NH; and twin brother Paul Morris and his wife Sandi of Gorham, NH. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Debbie Morris of Ridgeville, OH; father-in-law Robert Vashaw of Gorham, NH; as well as many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. John was predeceased by his parents Dr. Robert and Lillian (Luby) Morris, and his brother Robert Morris. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Church in Gorham on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1 PM, followed by burial in St. Kieran Cemetery. Calling hours will take place at Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 4 to 8 PM.
