John Addario

Mr. John Addario, 93, of 7 Wentworth Ave., Gorham, NH passed away on Monday February 1, 2010 at his home. He was born in Cascade-Gorham, NH on June 22, 1916 the son of Valentino and Rose (Dalphonse) Addario and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and had served as a combat engineer. He had been employed by Brown Company in the Cascade Beater Room, retiring in 1979 as Superintendent. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, loved to garden, enjoyed fishing, baseball and loved to play cards with his friends at the Holiday Center. He played semi-pro baseball from 1932-1938. Members of the family include 2 sons Thomas Addario and his wife Sue of Berlin, NH and John J. Addario and his wife Inge of Tampa Bay, FL; 1 daughter Mary Ellum and her husband Arthur of Berlin, NH; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Florence (Sinibaldi) Addario, brothers Joseph, Armand, Anthony, Constantine, Eugene and a sister Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 5, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
