Mr. John A. Buck Bergquist, 77, of Berlin, NH passed away on Monday Sept. 3, 2007 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, with family at his side. He was born in Berlin, NH on Dec. 26, 1929 the son of John A. and Elizabeth (Gould) Bergquist and was a lifelong resident. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bergquist was employed by the Brown Co., James River Corporation and retired from Crown Vantage Corporation in 1992. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a former member of the Millsfield Sportsmans Club. Buck was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed trapping, snowmobiling and his camp on the Diamond. He also enjoyed skiing and was a member of the Nansen Ski Club. Members of the family include his wife Priscilla (Kehoe) Bergquist of Berlin; 4 daughters Darlene Perrault of Berlin, Beverly Raymond and her husband Luc of Berlin, Lynn Mooney and her husband Stephen of Milan and Colleen Frenette and her husband Giles of Berlin; 8 grandchildren Gina, Holly, Eric, Patrick, Sonya, Christopher, Alyssa and Bradley; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Colleen Landry of Berlin and Arlie Hazzard of Stark; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and by 2 brothers Elwin and Melvin Bergquist and by his son in law Donald Perrault. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon Sept. 5, 07 at 2 PM in the chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be at a later date in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 to 2 PM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make a donation to the Alzheimers Respite Center or to the Coos County Nursing Home Activities Fund in his memory.
