Jennie T. Lachance

Jennie LaChance, 95, of Gorham, passed away at her home on Saturday morning March 12, 2016 with her family by her side. Mrs. LaChance was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on June 26, 1920 the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Robak and has lived in Gorham most of her life. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, loved scratch tickets and shopping. Jennie was an amazing cook and homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family members include her children, Richard LaChance of Gorham; Mary Payson of Gorham, Gloria Byrne and husband Robert of Gorham and Patricia Martel and companion Richard Sawyer of Minot, ME; her grandchildren, Angela Loso and her husband Jeremy of Allenstown, NH, Joseph Payson and companion Jennifer Dana of Pittsfield, NH, Ryan Byrne and wife Michele of Knoxville, TN, Casey Byrne and companion Angela Lawrence of Berlin, Kristin Rice and husband Everett of Turner, ME and Lindsay White and husband Robert of Poland, ME, and great grandchildren, Erika, Brandon, Justin, Miles, Keegan, Paige, Carson, Rianna and Mallory; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward LaChance in 1985. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 1 PM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham on Tuesday prior to the mass from 10 AM until 12:30.
