Jeannette J. Gilbert

Jeannette J. Gilbert, 83, of Berlin, passed away on Monday September 2, 2019 at her home. She was born in Berlin on January 15, 1936 the daughter of Archie and Noemi (Cote) Gagne and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1955 and married the love of her life, Walter, within a week of graduation. She had been employed at Rays Jewelry Store and at Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Jeannette enjoyed hunting, fishing, the camp at Millsfield Pond and playing cribbage with Walter. She loved her family above all. Family includes her children Gary Gilbert and wife Janine of Milan, NH and David Gilbert and wife Carole of Shelburne, NH; granddaughter Sabrina LaPage; great grandchildren Alex Terry, Ian LaRoche, Abby LaRoche, Lucas Houten, Adrian and Airabella; sister Nancy Gagne; several nieces and nephews including Donna Spencer, who has taken loving care of Jeannette during the last few months. She was predeceased by her husband Walter F. Gilbert and a granddaughter Rhonda Gilbert-Terry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday evening from 6 8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
