Jean L. Bean

Jean L. Bean, 90, of Bath, ME passed away on Monday January 11, 2016 at the Hill House Nursing Home. She was born in Natick, MA on January 16, 1925 the daughter of Walter and Lina (Hemenway) Readio and moved to Errol for the ninth grade, where she was a longtime resident. She graduated from Berlin High School, UNH and Boston University and was the music teacher in Errol, Gorham and Milan. Jean was an avid quilter, like traveling to see her children and family, was an avid singer who sang in the Concord Chorale, was active in the Errol Congregational Church in her younger years and she still thought of Errol as her home. Family includes her sons Scott R. Bean and wife Susan of Boothbay Harbor, ME and Rand W. Bean and wife Angela of Deerfield, NH; daughter Kimberly Bean Gogan and husband Mathew of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Will Bean, Jessie Bean, Rachel Gogan, Dale Robert Gogan and Jacob Gogan; brother Stuart M. Readio of Bow, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Bean. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 1 PM at the Errol Congregational Church. Interment will be in the Errol Village Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM.
