James L. Tibbetts

Mr. James L. Tibbetts, 81, passed away on Tuesday morning March 22, 2011 at the St. Vincent de Paul Health and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin. He was born on January 17, 1930 in Harrison, ME the son of Vinton and Ruth (Crocket) Tibbetts and was raised in Maine and has resided in Berlin for many years. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed with several saw mills, most recently for Paul Vallee Lumber. He was an outdoor person, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite spot was Popham Beach in Maine. Members of the family include his wife Louise Tibbetts of Berlin; six sons James Tibbetts Jr. of Berlin, David Tibbetts of Milan, Danny Tibbetts and his wife Celeste of Milan, Scott Towle, Brandon Tibbetts, and Eric Tibbetts, all of Berlin; a daughter Jennifer Tibbetts of Berlin; his mother Ruth (Crocket) Tibbetts of Norway, ME; many grandchildren, a great grandchild; 2 sisters Darla Robinson of Dixfield, ME and Janice Miele of Peru, ME; a brother Alfred Tibbetts of Milan; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Vinton and a brother Albert. There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin.
