James F. Andrews

d. January 12, 2018

On January 12, 2018, Jim Moose Andrews lost his courageous battle with diabetes, heart disease, multiple strokes, seizures, and renal failure. He lived his final 2 years at CCNH where he received loving care, accurate medications, and a clean, safe environment. Jim was born July 8, 1963 to Maurice and Marie L. Andrews. He graduated from Gorham High School in 1981, serving as Senior Class President. He loved working in the woods, eventually having his own trucking company, JD Transport. In tough times, he would haul Christmas trees and carnival rides all over. He later worked for Ramsay Trucking and Ingerson Transportation. His network of friends and colleagues were like family. Jim loved tinkering in the garage, going to truck shows in Vegas, traveling to NASCAR races, and camping at OOB. The shining star of his life was his son Cody, of whom he was extremely proud. Survivors include his son Cody Andrews of Bradford, VT; stepfather Ralph Fournier of Berlin; sisters Lynn (Donald) Chevarie of Berlin and Sheila (Ray) Swaney of Denton, NC; niece Drea Chevarie (Josh Kilson); nephews Bryan Chevarie and Andrew King; great niece Arya Kilson; great nephew Hunter King; aunt and uncle Jane and Gordon Goertz and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents Alfred and Hattie Andrews and Edward and Doris Simoneau, his beloved Uncle Peanut Andrews, his Aunt Evelyn Bourassa and his faithful goldies, Jericho and Dakota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Hayes Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham on Tuesday from 1-3 PM and 6 to 8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Bryant Funeral Home, c/o the Berlin office, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH, 03570 to assist with Jims funeral expenses.
