Mr. Irving W. Collins, 81, of 41 Jasper Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday April 1, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on December 2, 1924 the son of Patrick and Mary (Brogan) Collins and was a lifelong resident. He was a US Naval Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, and a member of the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW. He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corporation for 44 years and retired in 1987. Members of the family include a daughter Patricia Brett of Loudon, NH; a son Peter Collins of Seoul, South Korea; 2 grandchildren Nicholas Brett and Dustin Brett of Loudon, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline (Dube) Collins, who passed away in 1988, a son Clayton Collins, a sister Catherine Baker and a brother Henry Collins. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association.
