Irene (Roberge) Roy

March 13, 1923 — October 27, 2018

Irene Roy, 95, passed away on October 27th after sustaining a fall the week prior. She was with her son Paul, his wife Dianne, her granddaughter Cindy & great granddaughter Maya Rose. She passed away peacefully in her home in Park City. She had resided in her own beautiful apartment at an assisted living facility in Heber City, Utah for the last 11 months. She made many wonderful friends while she resided there. She took advantage of all the activities, including a boat ride down the rapids just a few months ago! Her joy was going out to eat as often as she could. She loved going to restaurants & truly enjoyed "chicken fingers".

Born in Berlin, NH on March 13th, 1923, she was the daughter of Alfred & Emelda Roberge. She married Rene Roy on September 3rd, 1945 & together they raised three children in Berlin, where they lived until their health declined in October of 2015. They then moved to the home of their son Paul & his wife Dianne in Park City, Utah.

Irene was a homemaker her entire life. She loved to do canning using all the veggies from their huge garden. Rene loved to pick berries, especially blueberries & she made jams, jellies & was an amazing cook & baker. Her summer joy, as soon as school was done when the kids were younger, was to pack up the car & move to camp at Akers Pond for the summer. How she loved babysitting her grandchildren and enjoying every minute with them, whether home or at camp. They spent many weeks with their Memere. She was the best Memere anyone could ask for.

Besides her parents, Irene was pre-deceased by her daughter Claire in 1970, her husband Rene in July of 2016, her brother Maurice & his wife Doris & her other brother Larry & his wife Eva, whom Irene always referred to as "the sister I never had". They had so much fun together and always made everyone laugh, especially around the campfire at camp with the whole family around.

She is survived by her two sons, Paul & his wife Dianne of Park City, Utah & Roger & his wife Debbie of Litchfield, NH, five grandchildren; Cindy Levine & her husband Andy & Michael Roy, all of Park City, Naomi Alosso & her husband Tom of Franklin, NH, Alicia Houston of Nashua, NH and Camron Roy of Litchfield ,NH. Ten great grandchildren; Maya Rose Levine and Asher Levine of Park City, Utah, Summer, Dominic, Roman, Deacon, Sawyer & Lincoln Alosso of Franklin, NH and Jordan & Kobe Martel of Nashua, NH.

Burial for Irene and her husband Rene will be at Mt Calvary Cemetery next spring.

Arrangements are under the care of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570.
