Irene C. Quessey, formerly of 1st Avenue, Berlin passed away Saturday January 25, 2014 at Country Village Nursing Home in Lancaster, NH where she had resided for the past 5 years. She was 85.

She was born in Berlin, NH on December 30, 1928. She was the daughter of the late William and Lucia (Nadeau) Gagnon. She attended school in Berlin, NH.

Irene was married to Vilmond Quessey and together they raised two sons and two daughters.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her greatest love was her family, she was a very loving, caring and devoted, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking pastries, swimming and walking. . She was a member of the former St Joseph Parish now St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vilmond Quessey and her brother Arthur Gagnon. She is survived by her sons Raymond Quessey and wife Sandra of Allenstown, NH, and Roger Quessey of Florida, daughters, Jeanne Webster and husband Gary of Portland, ME and Helene Madison of Natick, MA She also leaves 5 grandchildren; Jason Valinski, Justin Webster, Brian Valinski, Mark Quessey and Alan Webster; great-grandchildren Abigail Valinski, Aiden Valinski, Eric Webster and Brooklyn Webster. Brothers Lionel Gagnon of Berlin and Oliver Gagnon of Enfield, CT; sisters Evelyn Gagnon and Madeleine Gagnon both of East Hartford, CT; Several nieces and nephews

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.
