Irene B. Correau

Mrs. Irene B. (Matcho) Correau, 73, of Berlin, NH passed away on Friday afternoon August 28, 2009 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin surrounded by her family. She was born in Windber, PA on September 12, 1935 the daughter of Joseph and Julia (Demko) Matcho and resided in Pennsylvania until 1955, when she moved to Berlin. Irene had been employed by the Mt. Madison Motel for seven years and prior to that for the Royalty Inn for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and a former member of St. Kieran Church. Members of the family include two sons Richard Correau and Kenneth Correau, both of Berlin; four grandchildren Adam, Jen, Kayla and Matthew; a brother John Matcho of Sidman, PA; nieces, nephews and cousins, including Barbara Murray and her husband Joseph of Berlin. She was predeceased by her husband Norman Correau and by her parents. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Anne Cemetery. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the American Cancer Society or the A.V.H. Home Health & Hospice Services, 59 Page Hill Rd., Berlin, NH 03570. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin.
