Mrs. Iphigenie A. Virginia (Boulay) DeChamplain, 94, formerly of 15 Boulay Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday morning August 26, 2006 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. She was born in Berlin, NH on October 8, 1911 the daughter of Stephen J. and Marie (Lavoie) Boulay and was a lifelong resident. Mrs. DeChamplain was a member of St. Joseph Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, a member of the St. Joseph Altar Guild, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Berlin Womans Club, was a member of the Union of St. Jean de Baptiste and was active in the Ladies Bowling League. She was a graduate of Mount Notre Dame in Sherbrooke, P.Q. Canada. Members of the family include two sons Dr. Richard DeChamplain and his wife Edwina of Charleston, S.C. and John DeChamplain of Berlin, NH; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband William J. DeChamplain on Feb. 23, 1998; her brother Alfred Boulay; and by a sister Rose Gagnon. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday August 30, 2006 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, with interment in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center Activity Fund, Providence Avenue, Berlin, NH 03570 or to the Alzheimers Community Respite Center, 611 Sullivan Street, Berlin, NH 03570.
