Henry Richard Dion

Berlin, NH

Henry Richard Dion, 78, of Lancaster Street, entered into inmortality with the aid of the Sacraments of the Church on April 27, 2013 in his home.

Henry was born in Berlin, NH, on November 6, 1934 and was the son of Leo and Isabelle (Couture) Dion.

He attended Guardian Angel School and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Berlin.

On September 13, 1958 he married Fernande Irene Bourassa of Berlin.

Retiring on February 1, 1996, he worked as a paper maker for Brown Company/Crown Vantage in Berlin, NH.

Henry served in the US Navy from 1954 through 1957.

He was a member of the Guardian Angel Parish which later became Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin, NH.

His greatest love was his family which will miss him dearly. He was a very loving, caring and devoted, father and husband. In addition to his family and faith, the joys of his life were drawn from hunting, fishing, golf, and following the Red Sox.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Fernande Irene (Bourassa) Dion and his son Rev. Fr. Richard H. Dion of Manchester, NH; one brother Thomas Dion of Warren, MA; three sisters, Pearl Aubin and her husband John of Three Rivers, MA, Yvonne Leeman of Krondale, MA and Doris Lauze of Kindale, MA; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Philip Dion.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Monday, April 29, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and from 9:30am to 10:30 am Tuesday, April 30, at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at St. Anne's Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Burial will follow at St. Kieran's Cemetery.
