Henry R. Fries

Henry E. Fries, 90, of Milan, NH, passed away on Saturday June 17, 2017 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. He was born in New Haven, CT on November 21, 1926 the son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Price) Fries and lived in Connecticut most of his life, moving to Milan 4 years ago. Henry was a US Army Veteran of World War II and had been a Principal for the Torrington School District. He was a member of the Connecticut Civil War Round Table. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (Fogarty) Fries. Family includes his daughter Catherine Rarick and her husband Edward of Milan, NH; son Michael Fries and wife Karen of Torrington, CT; grandchildren Sarah McIntire, Jennifer Fries, and Michael Fries; great grandchildren Angela McIntire and Justin Failla; sister Mable Lines and beloved dog, Tober, who never left his side. He was also predeceased by six siblings. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at the Hillside Cemetery in Torrington, CT on Friday June 30, 2017 at 11 AM. The Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
