Henry L Bilodeau

Henry L. Bilodeau, 90, formerly of Burgess Street passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Coos County Nursing Home where he had resided for the past 3 years.

Born on January 20, 1923 in Gorham, NH, he was the son of Edward and Alphonsine (Guerin) Bilodeau.

A lifelong resident of the area, he attended Gorham Schools and was a communicant of Guardian Angel Parish now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

Henry served in the US Army during World War II as an anti- tank gun crewman. He served in the Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe and Normandy Northern France.

Returning from WWII, he was employed as a laborer in the Wood Department at Brown Company. He retired from Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin where he worked in the maintenance department.

Henry was a member of the Gorham American Legion and Berlin VFW Post # 2520.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by his wife Rita Lamontagne (2001), his step-daughter Patricia Roberts (2013), five brothers and three sisters.

He leaves daughters Sandra Leighton of Florida and Deborah Sullivan of Gorham; step-daughter Linda Poulin and her husband Leo of Berlin; son-in-law Paul Roberts of Berlin; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Friday October 11, 2013 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 7:00pm to 9:00pm Thursday, October 10, 2013 and on Friday Morning, October 11, 2013 from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. (please use School St Entrance) Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Gorham, NH
