Mr. Henry A. Roy, 77, of 35 Lancaster Road, Gorham, NH, passed away on Wednesday September 21, 2005 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on April 25, 1928 the son of Edgar J. and Marguerite (Prince) Roy and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Gorham area. He was a graduate of Berlin High School and was a US Army Veteran. He was employed as a Color Man at Brown Company and James River and retired in 1990. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the American Legion, was a member of the founding committee of the United Brotherhood Credit Union, a member of the Citizen Band (C.B.) Club and a past President of the C.B. Club. Members of the family include his wife Alice B. (Legere) Roy of Gorham ,NH; 2 sons Michael H. Roy and his wife Connie of Milford, NH and Peter D. Roy and his wife Faye of Limington, ME; 1 daughter Susan I. Martin and her husband Mark of Berlin, NH; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 5 sisters Juliet Libby of Manchester, NH, Gertrude Crigler of LaPorte, TX, Bernadette Schuette of Manchester, NH, Joan Burrell of Virginia Beach, VA and Beatrice Rheaume of Pembroke, NH; 1 brother George Roy of Auburn, ME; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Lawrence Roy and 3 sisters Elaine Roy, Geraldine Paradis and Marguerite Carney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
