Henry A Hachez

Henry Hachez, 92, died at home surrounded by family, on July 15, 2015.

He was born in Berlin on December 7, 1922, the son of Onesime and Elizabeth (Pinette) Hachez.

Henry served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II where he was stationed in the Aleutian Islands.

He was employed at James River as a foreman for 43 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the VFW, a scout master, member of Paper Town Pacers. Henry loved to travel in the U.S. and abroad, enjoyed dancing, playing cards and camping.

He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grand-father and great-grandfather.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Yvette (Turcotte) Hachez, daughter, Susan Olivier, of Nashua, son Randy and wife Laura (Smith) Hachez of Loudon and son Garry and friend Cindy Letarte of Berlin. He is also survived by his grand-children Debbie Olivier of Denver, Colo., Sandra and Michael Gardner of Carmel, Ind., Erin and Michael Messier of Chapel Hill, N.C., Jarred and Susan Hachez, Clayton and Diane Hachez and Kendall of N.C., Jessica Hachez and Jamie Nickerson of Gorham; great-grandchildren Zach and Candice, Olivia and Alec Gardner, Liliana, Bryson, and Amaya Messier, Wesley and Jacalin Hachez as well as several nieces and nephews.

Henry was pre-deceased by his son, Robert.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. with visiting hours on July 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Fleury funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AVH or the Holiday Center.
